My approach

Here, you'll find an overview of my counselling approach and have a better feeling of how we might work together.

A relational and collaborative approach

Working together:
We begin by understanding what’s bringing you to therapy and what you might need.
Some sessions may be about talking things through, others about exploring patterns or working towards specific changes. We go at your pace.

Understanding patterns:

Often, the way we relate to others, including in therapy, can reflect past experiences.
Together, we gently explore these patterns, helping you understand where they come from and how they might be shaping your current life.

Repair and support:

Therapy can also be a space where you experience something different: being listened to, understood, and supported in ways you may not have had before.

This can be an important part of healing.

A real, human relationship:

I show up as a real person in the room: present, engaged, and honest.
I bring warmth and compassion, but also support you in noticing where change is possible and where you have choice.

Looking at the bigger picture:

At times, we may also explore deeper questions about meaning, identity, or purpose if that feels important to you.
